Joseph Frank Southall, Jr. - 87

Of Valdosta passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on September 25, 1922 in Madison County, Florida to the late Joseph Frank Southall, Sr. and Flossie Lorene (Thomas) Southall. He was a founding member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Slater Street. Mr. Southall served in the United States Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette Southall and his first wife, Mary Kitt Southall; a brother, James Southall; and a sister, Jeanette Southall Dasher.

Survivors include:Daughter & Son-in-law, Diana & George Wheeler, Clarksburg, WV, Sons & Daughters-in-law, David & Jan Southall, Beaverdam, VA, Donny & Catherine Southall, Valdosta, GA, Step Sons & Daughters-in-law, Gene & Faye Warren, Fernandina Beach, FL, Herbert Warren, Valdosta, GA, Step Daughter-in-law & Son-in-law, Barbara & John Hodges, Tifton, GA, 6 Grandchildren, Several Great Grandchildren, A number of nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 11, 2010 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with Pastor John Hanson and Pastor Jeff Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Cat Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the funeral home.
